(1) Before using the electric soldering iron, check the resistance value between the plugs with a multimeter, which should be 2~3kΩ. Then use a multimeter to check the resistance value between the plug and the metal case, the multimeter needle should not move, otherwise it should be thoroughly checked
(2) The soldering iron tip is generally made of copper material. In order to protect from oxidation and rust under high temperature conditions of welding, the soldering iron tip is often electroplated, and some soldering iron tips are also made of alloy materials that are not easy to oxidize. The new tip should be tinned before formal soldering. The method is to polish the tip with fine sandpaper, then soak it in pine perfume, dip it with solder and grind it repeatedly on hard objects (such as wooden boards) to make all sides of the tip tin-plated. If the use time is very long, when the soldering iron tip has been oxidized, a small file should be used to gently file off the oxide layer on the surface, and after revealing the brilliance of copper, it is treated in the same way as the new soldering iron tip.
(3) When using an electric soldering iron, if the temperature is too low, the solder cannot be melted, or the solder joint is not completely melted and is not good or soldered firmly, and the temperature is too high to make the soldering iron "burn". In addition, it is also necessary to control the soldering time, the time of the electric soldering iron is too short, the solder is not easy to completely melt, contact, easy to form "virtual soldering", and the soldering time is too long, and it is easy to damage the components or make the copper foil of the printed circuit board warp. Generally, a solder joint should be welded within 1~2s, if it is not completed, it should wait for a while and weld again. The electric soldering iron cannot be moved during soldering, so first select the position of the contact solder joint, and then use the hot tin surface of the soldering iron tip to contact the solder joint.
(4) It is best to use a three-wire plug for the electric soldering iron plug, so that the shell is properly grounded. Before use, carefully check whether the power plug and power cord are damaged and whether the soldering iron tip is loose.
(5) It is strictly forbidden to knock arbitrarily during the use of the electric soldering iron, and when there is too much solder on the soldering iron tip, it can be wiped off with a cloth.
(6) During the welding process, the electric soldering iron should not be placed everywhere, and it should be placed on the soldering iron frame when it is not welded.
(7) The power cord should not be put on the tip of the soldering iron to prevent accidents caused by scalding the insulation layer.
(8) After use, the power should be cut off in time, and the electric soldering iron should be returned to the toolbox after cooling.
(9) After soldering, clean the residual flux on the circuit board with alcohol to prevent the carbonized flux from affecting the normal operation of the circuit.
