The basic composition of a piezoelectric ceramic transformer is to combine the application of a piezoelectric buzzer with the application of a piezoelectric igniter to form a piezoelectric harmonic oscillator. At one end of the buzzer (called the drive end) input a sinusoidal alternating voltage consistent with the resonant frequency of the piezoelectric transformer, the piezoelectric resonator generates vibration, conducts to one end of the ignition (called the power generation end), and generates a continuous sine wave voltage, depending on the structural characteristics of the piezoelectric transformer, it can be input low voltage, output high voltage (step-up type), or input high voltage, output low voltage (step-down type). Piezoelectric ceramics are brittle materials, in order to ensure their mechanical strength, piezoelectric transformers must have a certain thickness, and the driving voltage of the above transformers is quite limited. For this reason, the monolith (multi-layer) piezoelectric ceramic transformer project came into being.
